Power Generation

Modern Gas Turbines can't operate without the use of thermal spray coatings. Utilising HVOF technology, we are applying critical bond coat systems to neutralise high-temperature oxidation & corrosion effects. Our MCrAIY coatings are selected with Ni, Co or a combination depending on the operating conditions of the turbine.

ASCO applied APS ceramics over the MCrAIY is engineered to combat the effects of extreme temperatures and hot gases on critical turbine hardware. In particular, Turbine Blade integrity is now critically dependent on these thermal barrier coating systems.

Our APS technology is also used to deposit abradables or abrasive materials typically used in gas turbines to seal closing area improving turbine efficiency and performance.
